hello friends today we had fun! ben&jerry's icecream + nachos + cheese is a good combination, as mh says, despite the not-so-cheap prices and the utter sinfulness of it all [:

but next time we are going to somewhere else! on our way home me and zacky were discussing our potential food expeditions :D and we came up with such cool plans! but then again they involve us having cars so that might not be possible anywhere in the near future since we'll probably need 2 cars..or more. haha [: so basically the plans stretch over a period of 3 days. on the first day we'll go swimming/cycling together, or do anything that will help us burn the greatest amount of calories :D and on the second day we will go and eat! for the detailed plan we'll leave it all to zacky, because he has officially been appointed as our food-fest planner! and then on the third day we can go calorie-burning together again haha

hurrah! such great and ambitious plans we have :D

read the posts below, and hm i think ultimately its okay if you clique, cos its natural! who doesnt want to have a group of closer friends?

but asides that point, i think one of the main reasons why people are kinda 'disturbed', so to speak, by our 'clique' is because we arent all in the same class and stuff so people find it strange that we can actually be so chummy with each other. one other reason would also be because our 'clique' has a name - iloveegg family. i guess that's what people feel segregates us from the rest of the cliques - like even when people in peixun talk about going out with you guys, they always refer to us/you all as 'the egg family'. whenever they say that i always feel slightly uneasy, and maybe even guilty, that they actually know what we named ourselves. sometimes i ask myself, are we excluding everyone else? but then i look around, besides the fact that people are slightly intimidated by our named 'clique', we still mix around well with everyone else!

okay i think that was too taxing on your eyes so i shall make an effort to paragraph now. hahahha

as for whether our clique is really all THAT exclusive, the question doesnt really seem to need to be answered, does it? i mean hey, look at the rate our family's expanding! i know sometimes we all get slightly possessive and want to stop adding people into our family, but we just cant help it! (although i really want to stop adding new members after isaac, thanks (x )

but basically what i really want to say is, i think cliques dont really cause any harm. all my years in mg, the formation of cliques havent caused any disunity, but have instead brought everyone closer together. its just like a school-wide understanding that we all have people that we are each closer to. so, i dont see why cliques will cause harm in church as long as we dont (quote mh) 'stick to our cliques like hell'.

but then again, you cant be close friends with the whole world. so why not have a group of close friends and at the same time make new more new friends?

just read mama's post and yihan's post.. ermm hope she doesnt mind me reading without leaving a note to say i read... hmm anyway this thing has went thru my mind before... whether ppl get into cliques which ultimately causes some disruption in unity and welcome-ness amongst others..

well i wld be kidding u if i say it's totally harmless to form cliques cause we all knw how exclusive things can become but wat i have realised aft all these years is tt if you form cliques and stick to them like you will die without them, you will end up w a rather fragmented class with ppl doing their own stuff with their circle of frens, while those who dun actively look for frens just drown by themselves...

but consider the other side of the coin - we all form our own cliques and then we draw closer to these 'selected' ppl but at the same time, we dun deny ourselves the chance to make new frens and reach out to other ppl.. the cliques are then non-exclusive which accept others into them, somewat like a kind of family whr we all feel comfortable whether we are by ourselves, or even when thr is someone else around..

well you may say tt the second situation is ideal and tt i am blasting some kind of philosophy but i knw i am not coz the first side of the issue i presented to u sums up my sec sch days while the latter spks volumes abt my JC life... i have seen the immense disruptive potential of cliques while at the same time, have understood the unifying quality cliques can bring to us.. it just depends on how we behave in the clique and how everyth goes..

for me, in church i have to admit tt last time i was vvvvv clique-ish and stuck to my clique like i will die without them but for now, i am more able [i cant say i am vv pro at this] to leave the clique [as seen from my frequent disappearance from either my class or iloveeggfamily on sundays] to go tok to the younger ones like yiihang, kenneth, liuqi or the older ones like yongsing, shijia... yeahh i am not a superman or superhero so i will be kidding u again if i say i wanna befren the whole world and make everyone feel at home.. but at least, i knw i dun stick to my cliques like hell will befall me if otherwise and i still try, albeit sometimes less successful, to tok to others i seldom tok to..

ahh sorry if the above sound vaguely politically correct or somewat sermon-ish or a lil' too pre-prepared but hey, i've thot thru this stuff before and the above is just my summary/conclusion for everyth ba.. duno wat's u guys take on tt tho :)

anw, i promised i'd blog after camp rite. so here i am! albeit a lil late, but better late than never rite? =) well, i dun think i'll tok much abt camp here. but i must say i'm still feeling weird without camp. and i do miss u guys loads. it's like mashing 10 sundays together. haha really lor. i mean, we only see each other every sunday and even then, we only tok to each other for at most 30 mins den mh and jm go off for zmxz, we go off to do our own stuff. and even tho i was super tired most of e time, i din mind dragging myself off e bed every morning, even if it were just to see u guys for a lousy macs breakfast, or travelling all e way to vivo (Very In and Very Out of place) just to see ppl like dage for a brief 10 mins. it's e company that counts, rite? =)

gg off to cambodia in less than 2 days. i'll miss you guys loads! sigh. i wun get to see the yams till 1st jan, mh and veron till 23rd, jm jo ahgong qy SY and my darling wanjie until 16th! very long leh! try not to miss me too much either k, or else i keep sneezing so much tt they'd haf to send me home. although u guys can try tt la, if u really miss me tt much. =P

well...YEAH!!!we just had our family outing!!

WE HAD JOY WE HAD FUN WE HAD SEASONS IN THE SUN...

sorry arh..a bit high..well today we met in the morning for breakfast..but the problem was that i lost my way..haha!!i tot we were meeting at NEWTON fc...but actually it was ADAM fc[then cross the road was serene centre..]...serene centre was where we were meeting..haha!!okie..then i took 67 a tota or 3 times just to get to serene centre..opps...me is a blur person..haha!!!anyway..after we had our mcdonald's breakfast we went to jm blockand wait for him to meet us..haha!!then we waited lor!well..then he came lor!okie...sorry a bit high.then yup.after that we took 61 to vivo city..okie..it was huge but all the stuff is like meant for rich ppl to go lah!!oh man!it's like another wisma atria..haha!!so when we reach there we took a little walk at the candy empire..[there was mh,grace,qy,jm and me..]oh my goodness!!!the candy there is like so drooling!!!then we went to have a walk until afternoon...yup...cos vivo so big so boring...none of the place was suitable for us lah!then we went to banquet to have our lunch..we saw loads of ppl buy chicken rice so we got them..by then xc came to join us!!while we eat until half joanna came!!!woohoo!!!erm..yups..then aft that we conitnued to walk..oo!!we went to walk the playground cos according to mama's friend it was fun..then there was waterfall kids were playing there..then we saw a little boy nekkid..haha!!then we were all stunned..opps..yup...since the playground turn out to be boring and kids were playing..we decided to leave..haha!!we went to the top floor and sat down there...haha!!yup..then dunno how qy,jm,me went to slp..haha!!oo..then xc and mama went home...so stelly came after that..haha!!yeah..then aft that we went to have a little walk and a photo taking session at the open area..haha!!so darn funny lor!=X okie..yups...then the night falls..we had long john silver as our dinner..haha!!then i got really rreally really high cos me kept laughing for 45 mins???according to stelly...

Merry Christmas (in advance) eggies!
Here's a recipe for you Egg Heads to try at home. (Tsk, fat-free, okay! Heh heh heh)

Chawanmushi (Japanese steamed egg)

Ingredients (2 serving):
Knorr clear chicken broth (cost S$1 per carton at NTUC; around 4.5" high, 2.5" wide)
2 eggs
Extra ingredients (if you want) e.g. shredded crabmeat, mushroom, chicken bits... etc.

Procedures:
1. Beat both eggs till bubbles surface
2. Pour 1/2 carton of Knorr
3. Stir well
4. Sieve the mixture into 2 separate porcelain mugs (you can use tea cups)
5. Add the extra ingredients in, if any
6. Place the 2 porcelain mugs in a pan filled with water (water level around mid of the mugs)
7. Cover with lid. Heat till water boils
8. Wait for 5mins! Colour will change from heavy and sunshiny yellow to light chicky yellow.

Tada!

HELLO DARLINGS. I'M BACK FROM THE I-KNOW-VERY-LONG-HIATUS. What's with the 'wo men shi tou! =D' start-up with every post anyway? Darn spoof. Am I very outdated? (Yes, darling food fairy, I got the hint LOL. Finally, I know.)

In case you want some updates from me, I've settled in Ngee Ann Poly' Media Studies :) Awesome course, I must say!

Anyways. There are so many problems crashing in recently and it's kind of giving me the aches. I know by saying this I must as well not say anything; but yea, keep me in your prayers, will you? :)
